    1972 evinrude 9.5 hp

    Is it correct when reinstalling the low speed nozel to seat it lightly and then back it out 1 turn or so? Is the idle adjustment knob supposed to turn alot, the one i have only goes about a 1/4 turn in either direction? Thanks kco9

    Are these supposed to start in gear? I can't get it into neutral to pull the cord. Is this correct? I don't see how your supposed to tune it if the props always turning. I have taken the tiller arm off and on 50 times and i can't get it. Any help appreciated. Thanks m.e.

    Throttle On 1972 Evinrude 9.5 Hp.

    I Rebuilt The Carb, New Lines, Plugs, Gas. Runs Great. My Problem Is That I Can't Move The Throttle Past The Start Setting When In Neutral. So Its Hard To Rev It Up When You 1st Start As It Can Only Run In Slow Or Idel. I Have Adjusted The Setting On The Outside Of The Tiller As Far As I Can...

    Does anyone know - is their a specific position the tiller gear has to be in to reinstall it? Should the motor be in either r or n or f, i can't get it to go to start position unless its in forward, so i assumed the prior owner messed with the tiller arm with the gear at the end and reinstalled...
