    Hey Mike, when you say go to the starter, You mean that extra terminal on the starter right? The small one? Also can grab the purple wire , in the back of the engine where it goes to the coil for my ignition?

    Yeah it's really not that big of a deal, But before I proceeded I just wanted to run it by the iboats experts. I just didn't see how it doesn't back feed to the starter, but somebody also gave me a tip to put a diode on that line.

    Yes I understand that, I was confused about how the starter doesn't get 12v back feed from the purple wire, When I'm done turning the key, and it's now in the run position.

    Bc I had to repower, and I upgraded to a vortec engine, And unfortunately it's not machined for a mechanical fuel pump

    My oil pressure switch only has two leads on it. So basically I just need a relay on each side of my oil pressure switch, One that will allow me to pull power from starter while cranking, and then deactivate it when I'm no longer cranking , and pull power from my source?

    Lol. Yeah didn't to look right to me, but this is a diagram that I was going by, and it looks like they're tying the purple wire into everything, But I think I'm just not understanding the diagram, But that's why I'm here I haven't done anything yet, And doesn't seem right

    Thanks for the input guys! I'm just going to stick with the gray but that's a good idea to use AI. I was using the argument that it might not show up all of the dirt and grime over time as much to help make my decision, just wanted to see what you all thought

    I meant to buy gloss white, but apparently I didn't select the right color. I went to do an Amazon return and they just gave me a refund didn't even ask me to send it back. It was a gallon so it was like $120 so I'm thinking about just going ahead and using it unless there are some cons to it...

    Yeah we got it figured out, I blew a head gasket and have piston damage I believe cylinder 3 is seized up. Ordered a new engine
