    Rotary Question

    I was thinking about taking apart the rotary on my steering system to check and make sure the gears are ok so i would only have to replace the cable, which a friend has and might just give to me for free. Should i just pull it apart or am i doing a bad thing? I dont want stuff to start popping...

    Tune-ups?

    Whats the best way to do your own tune-up on an engine? I have a 1984 Evinrude 35hp 2 cycle outboard. Want to give it a tune-up this winter for the spring. It garage kept so im not worried about the weather harming it. If anyone has a link to a step process that would be great! Thanks to all!

    How to detach the rotary assembly?

    My steering cable snapped, so im gonna buy a whole new assembly. I detached the black jacket hose that leads to the motor from the rotary. I pulled the snapped cable out of the rotary(though it seems like there should be alot more). I guess the rest is in the jacket hose or in the rotary...

    Proper way to change lower unit oil?

    Was wondering if anyone could tell me the proper way to change the lower unit oil on a 1984 evinrude 35hp o/b motor? I know there is a screw that when removed drains the oil, but is there a proper way to do it? And whats the proper way to add oil?

    Steering Stiff before Cable Broke!!!

    The months before my steering cable broke, the steering was real tight. Hard to turn the wheel either direction. We lubed it, but it didn't help much. Could it be that the gears in the helm are bad?

    Could someone post a pic of what the float on the carb looks like on a '84 evinrude 35hp 2 cycle. I took the carb apart and cleaned it, but im scared i may have put the float in upside down.

    Steering Cable Problem

    i have an '84 rollin 14 ft bass boat. the steering cable snapped between the rotary and the throttle box. how do i go about repairing it? i cant seem to detach the rotary from the steering column. it looks like there is a pin underneath on the rotary holding it together or is that sumthing else...
