    overcharging

    I have a 1977 70hp johnson. I have installed new regulator, stator, battery and cable ends on battery side(motor side looked ok). Tach is now steady and voltage is fine up to 1500rpm, but when i throttle it higher voltage climbs up to 16 volts and stays there until i throttle down below 1000rpm...

    carb flow balancing

    I am new to two strokes and am rebuilding my carbs on a 1977 70hp johnson seahorse. Someone told me after rebuilding them I should balance the flow so as not to possibly lean out on other cylinder(s). I have not reuilt them yet, but have not read anything about flow balancing in the manuals...
