    Downloaded the instructions from Mercruiser. Seems pretty straight forward. Remove handle, disassemble, remove old switch assembly. There is plug where the wires are attached.

    Saturday I had temporary no up trim or trailer up button. It resolved it's self Saturday for rest of weekend. (I do have trim down and trailer down.) Today same thing. No trim up and no trailer up function. No clicks from up solenoid to so I replaced up solenoid. Still no trim up or up trailer...

    I don't think 350 hp is a big enough jump to justify the expense. Just rebuild your 7.4 Now a 8.2 with 380 or 430 hp is a different story. Of course I would love more power but at what cost? You could just fix your motor and sell the boat and get a twin engine boat will twin 5.7s

    Not bad for a 1997 I think. I read where some newer models than this in four stroke had some pretty widesprrad corrosion. 4 stroke motors.
