    have a mariner 115hp with the lower drain plug, upper plug that says vent, and a third plug about five inches away from the vent plug, same height. is this a top fill plug?

    Serial Number Location?

    Where are some places that a serial number likes to hide on a 1975 888 model mercruiser. My manual has 2 different serial numbers for that model. One is (to 4169596) and the other (4169597-up). Haven't found any numbers like these on the engine yet. Thanks
