    73 Evinrude 65HP no charge

    Does anyone no how to test the system. I checked the battery while the motor was running and got just battery voltage. I pulled the + cable and got 0 volts. there was one fuse and it is good. My manual has not got here yet so i am kind of setting here play with the seats now. thanks for any help...

    I was cleaning the shop and found a extra part from my water part pump kit. O dam. after looking up the part. It is a water pump cup. The new water pump is made of plastic the old is metal.     Testing water pump ?

    I replaced the water pump in a 73 Evinrude 65hp and tried it out with some earmuff it did not seem to get any water out of the top exhaust holes. Would a big bucket be better. Also could the thermostat be stuck open in a outboard the water did not feel hot.Thanks
