    Compression test is as follows; 94 92 97 96 99 92 Looking at the motor from the rear with all plugs removed and full charge on both brand new batteries.

    2ga wire running to all systems and engine... It's got the sparky power but I'll check for a 3/8 jump to see its there..

    Fuel is there and compression is even along all six around 95psi.. Fluctuations go from 93 to 98 if zi still remember.. I'll give it a taste right now..

    Fuel is clean and getting to the engine, all 6 butterflys are fully open at WOT

    Took my boat out today for a sea trial.. Not good, could only get 2500rpm at WOT in gear... In neutral I can "carefully" rev it up to 6000rpm and it sounds good, but under load I'm at a loss... All new plugs/wires/coil packs/stator/ and compression test turned out perfect!! What do think is...

    Cannot find the right propeller 225 OceanRunner

    My 1996 Johnson 225 needs a new prop but everything I am getting is to short in depth for the prop shaft.. The spline washer is 1/2" from the prop and the propeller si out of the exhaust hole.. Got the 14.5 by 21 pitch but the 3 time now its to short.. Anyone have a link for the correct prop?

    Left bank compression is great but I'm checking for warp and replacing the gasket regardless.. The right bank is great minus the top one.. I'll check for warp, if I get the head machined I might as well do both, right??

    A blown gasket could bring it all the way down to zero?? Damn... I'll pull the head off and take a peek..

    Having major issues, J225txede engine, engine won't fire.. Did a spark test and bottom left and middle right bank have no spark.. 5 cylinders have compression between 100 and 110, the upper right cylinder has zero... Removed and re-installed the compression tester several times with no luck...

    When I fire up my 96' Johnson 225 Oceanrunner, it does fine but when it starts to warm up the idle climbs up to 1,100 rpm... That's a bit to high but then it runs away to 3,500 rpm and I turn the ignition off.. It continues to run at that rpm for another 10-15 seconds before it finally shuts...

A lot of damage and cut wires all through the boat and engine, even though I had just spent many hours and thousands...

    OEM Yamaha multifunction gauge has backlight but no readout.

    I replaced an old tach with a multifunction gauge and it worked fine for a few trips but it started to come and go and now it's out but the backlight still comes on.. It's obviously getting powerto , so where am I looking for the fault? Is it a wire to the engine that is not sending a signal...
