    2009 25 HP E-TEC Oil Programming

    Just bought a used 25 e-tec with no manuals. On the oil cap there is a warning that says it's programmed for XD-25, XD-30, XD-50. I want to use the XD-100. What has to be done and can only a dealer do it? Thanks.

    3 REVOLUTIONS OF SPARK '94 Johnson 150

    Voltage regulator caught fire last year. Put it out with fire extinguisher, nothing but problems since! Replaced optic sensor once already. Tester says it's good. Should I pop the flywheel and check under it??? No spark in any cylinder after 3-4 revolutions so engine won't start.

    Well, I seemed to fix my carburetor idling problem. Not really sure how. now on the test run boat ran great but after a few mins. the Tach needle goes wacky spinning all over the place then after a throttle slowdown it goes back to normal then wacky again. I'm thinking 1. bad tach 2. loose...

    1994 JOHNSON 150 Starts runs for 1:30 sec. Then dies.

    Does anybody know how many turns out do the idle jets go? I had it 5 turns out on I'll six carbs. And it started, ran great while warming up then just quit. Can't see if spark was lost but I don't think so. Won't start again seems flooded.

    Carburetor adjustments on 1994 150 HP Johnson

    Lower port side carburetor was spitting fuel out and engine not running well. I removed port side 3 carburetors and intake manifolds and rebuilt the carburetors. The idle adjustment screws was set three turns out to start. ( Star. Side is about 6 turns out) after putting everything back together...

    Back firing after running fine???

    1996 90 HP Running fine for 20 mins on muffs. Replace faulty kill switch and a key switch that had an ant nest in it and now all it does is backfire. Good spark,nothing else has changed.     I have a 1996 90 hp that starts and runs fine for a short while. Then the engine just dies. Thought it was water in the fuel but switched to a separate 6 gal tank and the same thing happened. Took the engine cover off to feel the heads and placed my hand on the flywheel and almost burned my skin...
