    5.7L 1993 starter solenoid cllicks fast but does not turn over engine

    Larson 1993 220 SEI with 5.7 V8 Not Starting

    The 5.7 V8 engine turns over slowly - two new batteries - but does not start. Cannot check spark with slow turn over. Any Advice? Put marvel mystery oil in cylinders - now turns over quickly - mechanic spent 30 minutes - said low compression - suggested new engine - am I a fool for being a skeptic?
