    Before I adjust the idle on my twin 2001 Yamaha 150 HPDi , I was told the computer controls the idle on these motors and there is no simple linkage adjustments. Just checking before I screw something up. Thanks for any help!

    If I take the snap ring off will the valve come out by turning the screw?

    Looking for information on the manual release valve, on the tilt/trim unit.The screw will not move on this valve. I would like to take this valve out and replace it with a new valve, the problem is I don’t see how to pull this valve out. I want to change the whole valve. Any suggestions? Thanks

    What oil to use?

    I am running 2001 twin Yamaha HPDi’s and for the last couple years I have been using Pennzoil Premium synthetic.When my mechanic found out he told me not to use anymore. He says he has seen motors burn up on Pennzoil and to use only Yamaha oil. Anyone have thoughts on this. Thanks for any replies

    I had to cut the cover hose off for the control cables, now I would like to cover them again without unhooking the cables, any ideas ? I was thinking of bicycle inner tube split and held by wire ties. Do they make anything for this? Thanks

    I will be in the water but, the motors will be tilted up out of the water.The motors are flushed out with freshwater every time as soon as I get in the slip, than tilted up.

    Opinions: What do you think , does it make any sense to run Salt Away through my Yamaha hpdi 150s while the boat is in the slip with the motors up. You think it does anything but make me feel good? Thanks for any replies.
