    adding a tank

    I want to add a 2nd fuel tank to my boat. Main tank(18 gal) is permanent under floor but I want more capacity. I was thinking of in front under the closed bow for weight distribution as well. Any thoughts?

    fuel line

    I am curious about something. I installed a 1984 evinrude 115 and when I attached the fuelline there were actually two choices of what to do...one side had a part where it appears sometype of fitting (female)would be at the end of the fuel line and attach to the motor at a corresponding male...

    Quick question. On my old motor I had the push to choke with the ignition key, on my "new" 1984 115 evinrude I understand this changed to push to prime.     tilt

    Finally got my 84 evinrude 115 mounted and running like new. Question is this..it does not have tilt/trim..it has a shock absorber to assist with manual tilting but this seems to be harder to do than it should...is it a big job to swap out the shock for a new one?

    minimum battery

    I just switched from a 50 HP to a 115HP...is there a minimum battery size/strength recommended fro the 115..just not sure if I am taking a chance with the original battery..only 1 year old. (at work right now and I am not sure what size that one is)

    mounting bolts

    Just replaced my 50 hp outboard with a 115. The old motor only had bolts thru the top holes of the bracket that go thru the transom in the splashwell. My question is this...do I need to put any bolts in the lower holes? It would be difficult at best because of lack of access to put a nut and...

    I installed an evinrude 115 (1984) on my boat. The old controls had wires leading to the fuse block under the dash for the lights horn etc. The new OMC controls dont have this set of wires to copy the installation from previous...are the clor codes of the wires universal? The old controls...

    1984 tilt tube

    I am having a tough time with the tilt tube on a 1984 115 evinrude. Badly rusted from salt so I cut out the center...starboard side popped out but the port side is being a pain. Wont budge.

    I have a Silverline boat. I love it..its a good boat. A bit confused...my registration says its an 81 but now I here they went out of business in 80. Hard to find the exact boat in their brochures on the Silverline site too. Kinda weird.:confused:
