    if u have power trim, i always start out with it all the way down, get the boat on plane and adjust for speed, if u don't have power trim start with the motor adjusted all the way down and experiment with it till you get it adjusted correctly, weight distribution will change how fast it planes...

    Starboard lower piston 1982 115 Johnson broken ring. Pulled powerhead, appox. how much to rebuild powerhead with one new piston, crankbearings, gasket set, rings, etc... Paid $650.00 is worth fixing? Thanks for any input!

    bought outboard locally from individual. mounted on boat and took to ar. river. engine ran good for about 45 minutes, sat and fished for a while. started engine and it ran for about 1 minute and died like it ran out of gas, pumped bulb up tight again and same thing, limped back to launch ramp...
