Constant drain of 1 of 2 batteries

Got the boat with that setup over 20 years ago and never thought twice about it. Never an issue. Parrelel switch is a spring loaded toggle on the dash which when held to "on"connects both batteries momentarily for startup when 1 battery is weak.

Constant drain of 1 of 2 batteries

One of the batteries for stbd engine and everything else, the other battery seems to be for port engine only. and I have a parallel switch on dash. Will disconnect bilge pumps to monitor drainage. Pulled radio faceplate off so I assume that keeps it off. Mikes method is next. Thanks guys

Constant drain of 1 of 2 batteries

This 280 Regal never had a battery switch and I never had an issue so leave well enough alone. Our Grady White has a battery switch that is turned off when not in use.. I'm still assuming the drain was from a cabin light switched on but bulb was not tight so it didn't light. Does not sound like...

5.0 XL Mercruiser possible carb/fuel pressure issue

Quadrajet I believe, new tank.Started right up today and ran for a while with no issues. I have never had an issue with this motor so never changed carb filter.May do that next if I can find the filter I bought a number of years ago. If I dont find it I can just clean the current one if dirty...

5.0 XL Mercruiser possible carb/fuel pressure issue

Outboard tank vent was open. I assumed closing the vent would slow the flow so tried that too. No start until I held carb open. Bad fuel tanks forced me to use outboard tank for now.Fuel is new, separator is new. Thanks for the reply, Charlie

    Flushing OX66 200hp saltwater series.

No issues, flush once a week thru flush port hose.seen a lot of videos flushing with rid lime and vinegar. Most remove lower unit and run a pump thru there.why not thru the flush port or why not run in a barrel of water/solution??? Most videos had an overheat issue which I do not. Just curious if...

Cannot get outdrive installed to the last 1/2 inch - need your advice!

I would NEVER recommend bashing an outdrive to get it installed. I have installed my own outdrives for over 30 years and the most force I have ever had to use was hitting it with my shoulder to get it moving. Bashing it might get it in however just as high a chance that you are forcing something...
