    Apelco Loran/GPS 6700

    I just had a used Apelco Loran/Gps 6700 installed on my boat. I don't have the optional GPS antenna, should I get the GPS antenna or is it just a backup for the loran function? Any feedback on this nav aid would be appreciated. :D
