    Boyesen reed installation

    I have a 1998 merc 125 4 cylinder that I am installing a set of Boyesen reed valves in and the instructions tell me to adjust the air bleed screw out 1/4 to 1/2 turn to prevent backfire damage. What is the best adjustment to start with and how do I know if it is adequate after starting it back up?
