    Repowering my twin 290 outdrives

    My boat had twin aq171 engines with 290 outdrives, I purchased twin 5.7 L engines to repower my the boat. Will the outdrives work as they are or will I need to change any gears in them. I keep getting so many different answers at marine shops. Thanks
