    Getting mixed answers for the correct pipe tap for use on housing to install updated lower shift cable on 67 120hp. I thought I was dead on with a 1/4 -18 pipe tap NPT but now hear no thats not correct its a 1/2 -13 course thread???? Anyone have any imput. Thanks I have to get past this..

    New shifter cable for 1967 R install.

    Getting ready to change shifter cable on 120 hp mercruiser, having to replace shifter bellows so I am installing new cable. Any heads up or tips would be very helpful as I have never attempted the cables. This boat is turning into a restore instead of a fix here & there.
