Minnkota 40lb Powerdrive help!

Okay so I had my boat out trolling yesterday. Used it for about an hour and half. All of a sudden the trolling motor completely quit. It is a bow mount with a foot pedal control, I could not get it to work at all. So, I got it home and have hooked my batteries up to the charger... nothing. I...

Towing with a Javelin 366 Fish and Ski?

Bought a good used 1990 Javelin Fish and Ski with a 90 hp outboard Evinrude. I want to pull a tube behind it, but I have never towed before. I have a tube and a tow rope. The question is how do I connect the rope to the back of the boat? Any help would be appreciated... thanks.

Which battery should you hook up extras (like bilge pump, fishfinders, stereos etc). to? The cranking or the deep cycle (which my 12V trolling motor is hooked up to)?

    Fish Finder Question

My boat currently has a entry level fish finder (Eagle Cuda 168) on it. I fish primarily in the Mississippi and the water is rarely over 40 foot deep. In fact where I fish the water is rarely over 8 foot deep. Anyway, the fish finder does a good job for what I need it for. My problem is: Is...

    Anchoring ideas

I recently bought a 1990 javelin 17 foot fish and ski boat. The previous owner used it almost exclusively for skiing or traveling. I am going to use it for fishing too. I will mostly troll, but will anchor sometimes too. Anyway it has no anchors and I am wondering where and how would you put...

    charging questions...

Okay I recently purchased a 1990 Javelin 366 fish and ski boat. Some one on another forum told me to "plug it in" to keep it charged. Does anyone know where you plug the boat in? The only plug in on the boat is for the trolling motor at the front. I was thinking of buying a onboard battery...

    Broken Skeg.... Help!

I have attached a picture of my skeg on my 90hp evinrude. What should I do? Replace it? Get it welded? Buy a skeg guard? If so, which one? Or just leave it? I have found skeg guards online, but don't know how they are attached. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

1977 15 HP Johnson Shear Pin?

    Hello

I recently procured a 1977 15hp johnson. I was checking it out getting it ready for this summer and I wanted to make sure I had extra shear pins for it just in case. Anyway, it appears to have an "exhaust" prop (?) on it and the service manual says it doesn't have a shear pin...

bad spark plug wire or bad carb?

I have a 25hp 1955 Evinrude that dogs out when you throttle up. Basically the motor gets louder but the speed is just a bit faster than idle. II initially thought it may be the carb... (and it still could be) but after changing the spark plugs and messing around with the spark plug wires I found...

It runs fine at idle... but when I throttle up it will only run a little bit faster than idle speed. I replaced the plugs... that wasn't the problem. After a lot of messing around I...
