    1984 225D motor. oil question

    I found owners manual for the boat. I am getting conflicting info. It says for a 1984 225D, to use 10w-40 oil. Where i am getting my parts from, said to use straight 30W. Is this too light of an oil? Again im used to older car engines, where i would use a 10w-40, for a thicker oil. Thx.

    don't make gas filter anymore??

    84 bayliner with 225D motor. Went to get gas filter, not the one by carb, but the one right by fuel pump. They sold me a kit that replaces that setup. They said i didnt need anything else, and it would bolt up. The old bolts don't even go thru the new housing , and even if they did, the holes...
