    Trolling with a 50HP Yamaha 4 stroke

    Can these motors idle down enough for trolling? Its a 2004 Carb. Also, a dealer said a 4 cyl Yahmaha F50 would troll down slower than a 3 cyl F40. Something about 4 cyl. being able to idle down better than 3 cyl. Any thoughts.<br /><br />The F50 will be on a Alumacraft Lunker 16 LTD (660lb).

    Thoughts on 2004 Yamaha F50 4 stroke

    Anyone have any thoughts or experience with these motors. I'm considering a purchase of one as part of a boat package. The motor has never been used and is coming with a 6 year Warranty. I know these motors are not EFI but are they still a good motor? Everything I read seems the indicate so.

    gas/oil mixture on 1958 sea horse 7 1/2

    What is the proper oil/gas mixture for my 1958 johnson sea horse 7 1/2hp. Gas tank says mix 1 quart of S.A.E 30 with 6 gallons gas. Not sure what they mean by S.A.E 30. Is that a standard two stroke oil.

    1958 7.45 H.P. Johnson

    I just picked up a 1958 Johnson 7.5 H.P. and have a question. The motor runs perfect but when I put it in Reverse the lever won't stay in place. I have to hold it with my hand. Is this normal and if not how do I go about repairing it?
