I have a 1988 9.9 gamefisher 225.581990 model. I replaced the coils and adjusted the points. I rebuilt the carburetor and got fresh non ethanol gas. I made sure I was getting spark on both plugs and wires. I have tried to get it started and nothing. a couple of times it sounded like a backfire...
