    140 engine will not shut off

    140 Johenson starts right up, runs great, doesn't shut off. Switched ignition switch - no change, no apparent loose or broken wires. ????????????

    140 johnson will not shut off

    I have a 1988 140 johnson that recently began giving me trouble shuting off. I had to shut the fuel soleniod to shut it off. Now it will not start either. It starts right up with the key in the on position if I jump the starter. I already replaces the ignition switch. no change.

    no spark 140 johnson

    the boat has twins so i swaped power packs after testing the iginiton switch still didn't start----put the presumed bad p[oaer pack on other engine and it started right up----------all coils test OK--------------any ideas

    140 johnsons 1988 no spark one side

    I lost spark on one side of my engine. <br /><br />It started intermitantely then stalled. It refuses to start and spark has not come back on that side.
