I put a water pump on an '86 Merc 35 Hp. I followed the posts pertaining to replacing the LU on a 35 Hp Merc. Several times I put the LU on and took it off. Still I have problems. I aligned the coper water tube...
I pulled the LU and replaced the water pump impeller. Thanks to several of you I managed to get the LU back on but now I have no prop in forward or reverse. I know I will have to drop the LU again but have no idea what I did wrong.
I'm trying not to get frustrated guys. I removed and replaced my old water pump impeller aligned the copper water tub and tried to reinstall the LU but something has it hung and I can't get it to go that last 1-1/2" I had it on earlier but had no reverse so I knew I did something wrong. Any help...
