    Thanks guys I got this motor it was used in fresh water only the clover will not close all the way on one side. I see on the top where the pin holds the cover together has a crack in the metal, anyhow I am on the search for a cover that will fit it as I want to paint the motor and make it look nice.

    Yes I am aware but there a more covers for the 1958 10 hp and 1958 18hp , so I was looking to see if the those covers would fit a 1956 15hp engine.

    On the parts list they the magnetos are listed as coils that is ignition coils, there are two on the motor you have under the flywheel.

    Deep C Mark , Yea that is what I wanted to know reliable what the mechanic said. Like I said motor never over heated it does not have a lot of hrs on it so I will continue to use it. This is a 2+2 motor but it runs pretty good.

    I took it apart and put some sealer on the plate that mounts face down to to gear box, now they say to put a bead of RTV on the back of the pump housing so exhaust gases do not get into pump!
