    I wonder if someone who has a manual for this motor might be able to tell me the initial setting for the carb? It’s currently not running without the choke out.     Ok thanks. It was actually stamped onto the carb body itself. I don’t think that portion was even on the parts lists I was able to find.

    Sailmaster 8 lower unit comparability with 7.5

    I have a 80’s 7.5 with a bad lower and potentially can buy a 90’s sailmaster for cheap. Are the lowers compatible? I’d prefer to put together one shirt shaft. Thank you

    9.9 stripped fuel pump mounting screw

    Title pretty much says it all. The motor is a 76 9.9 Johnson. Can’t tighten it up so the pump won’t draw fuel to the carb. If anyone can help me out, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Anyone ever seen spark get lost from a 2 hp mate when you tighten up the screw that tensions the armature plate? Spring tensioned screw going through the liner below the ignition parts??
