    Lost my Shift Linkage Bolt so I made a new one

    Not sure if this is good or bad. But anyways, couldnt find my old bolt that helt my shift rod into the shift clevis. So I used one of my old water pump bolts and turned down the end of it (approx to the thread minor dia). Seems to work like a charm. I dont even remember what the old bolt...

    Re: Quick and easy water pump question Well, i got it figured out. I used a soft mallet and tapped the impeller down over the key. Then I used zip ties to squeeze the impeller down. Then I slid the housing down over it. And then reached in with a knife and cut the zipties.
