Tried starting fluid, have spark at distributer plug cable connector, have gas at entrance to carb? The safety switch is in the correct position (up). I can see flame at the bottom...

    Stopped In ICW while crusing at about 5 Knots

    Evinrude 1998 175 Ficht.<br />Engine stopped as if you just turned the key off while cruising the ICW at Clearwater FL. Safety cable to key switch does not appear to be the problem.
