I did do that to see if there are threads, and there are. I also took a plastic Ty-wrap and stuck it in there to see if it would go around a bend. It went about 1/2" and either stopped or got stuck.

Here is the best shot I could get. The hose is in front of the 1/4" plug and it is installed now. The no plug spot is my concern as to whether it should have a plug (which I can't find anything that fits) or is it an accessory mounting...
