I have a twenty something year old 110 hp Volvo diesel turboed.Smokes quite heavily on startup once running does not want to idle smoothly could this be an injector or glow plug problem?Not sure where to begin.:cold:
I have a 1982 double eagle 18.5 ft.with a Volvo 4 cyl. Diesel,great range however slow at getting up and going.Thinking of converting to gas motor or podding with an outboard.Cost is a factor considering the age .Any thoughts would be appreciated bear in mind most of the fishing/cruising we do...
Took my boat out yesterday,it was running well at lower rpms.When I would try and power up she would drop right down.After hours of this I discovered holding the ignition choke "on" she would get up and go.Would this be that the ignition is faulty?
