    1986 Yamaha 90 hp 2 stroke ETLJ - problem with throttle control pulling back

    I'm having a problem with the throttle control having to be manually pushed and held forward when trying to go above approximately 10-12 knots. I suspect this may be related to the throttle cable but the cable is brand new. If we're going long distances it is really annoying. Any suggestions?

    1986 Yamaha 90 hp 2 stroke ETLJ problem with engine sputtering when I reach 3,000 RPM

    I'm new to this forum. I picked up a nice low-hours motor and was wondering if there is a pull cord I can get for it in case of emergencies. I didn't see one on the parts area but I could have overlooked it. Anyone know?
