Please Vote: Is this Stator Bad?

Thank you oldboat1: From the CDI document, page 63 (step 2) states: "Swap the stator wire pairs to the other bank and see if the problem moves. If it does, the stator is bad". This is exactly what I did, and the problem moved with the "bad" stator charge coil output. Also, the fact that all...

Please Vote: Is this Stator Bad?

Voting is no way to troubleshoot a problem. What are you using for a procedure? Thanks. I am using the factory service manual for a procedure. However, sometimes real world troubleshooting requires critical thinking beyond what a service manual specifies. For example, in this case the service...

Port bank of engine = dirty; Starboard bank of engine = clean (internally).

Hi; I may have answered my own question. If the port bank fouls plugs more often than starboard bank, then the port bank should not consistently run as hot as starboard bank. Thus, not as much cleaning..... So my question now becomes: The plug fouling (Champion QL78YC; 0.030" gap) increased...

OMC p/n 0335626 (nipple, fuel & oil) purpose?

Thanks racerone for the help. Page 2-12 of the factory service manual does shed a little light on this nipple. In Step 4, the manual states: "To complete priming, squeeze the oil primer bulb until oil is visible in the sight tube." Figure 4 (pictorial for Step 4) points to the 0335626 part. So...

OMC p/n 0335626 (nipple, fuel & oil) purpose?

location = Colorado. Just to clarify, this is the connection nipple where the boat's oil and fuel lines connect to the outboard motor. It sits just inside the lower cowling where the hoses, and electrical harness, enter the engine. Thank you.

OMC p/n 0335626 (nipple, fuel & oil) purpose?

1995 Johnson J150SLEOM Hello; Can anyone tell me if there is any function of this part other than connecting two sections of fuel and oil hoses? Example: sight-glass, check valve, vent, etc. I broke mine, and after searching online (several hours), I found this part is no longer available...

1995 Johnson 150 hp (Oceanrunner, J150SLEOM) Ignition question

Hello; My engine is only firing on the three port side cylinders. All three of the starboard cylinders do not have spark. I changed spark plugs, but no help. I next checked the port and starboard cylinder head temperature switches to see if they were perhaps generating an overtemperature...
