    Speedometer Pidot, Pitot, I don't know...but water is pouring out

    I have a 1997 Mariner 50 ELPTO outboard and I noticed a bunch of water pouring out from where I believe the speedometer connects. I have the service manual and it shows the "speedometer pick-up assembly" that comes out of the lower unit. It is currently plugged because I don't have a speedometer...
