    1960 and 1970 johnson 40hp crankshaft interchange.

    Have the two engines, the 70 has a bad taper and flywheel, I know that parts differ and so do the crankshaft but will I be able to drop the 60 one into the 70 case? The 70 is a selectric shift can I use the complete 60 powerhead on there instead (changing fuel pump, bypass covers etc etc).

    What CARBS do I have? CF 135 hp Frankenmotor.

    Discvered a to me "new" set of carbs with adjustable low jets and 56C main jets, are they comparable with later 70 carbs?     Replacement for OEM crankcase seals? Spaghetti seals? 1976 Evinrude 135

    Rebuilding my motor and haven?t found any new OEM seals. Are there alternatives? Seams to me like the ones I?ve seen in "lengths" would have to be cut into many pieces to thread out in the whole crankcase, is that the way to go?

    135 Crossflow Powerhead Swap, Problem midsection interchange.
