I've isolated my issue to the stator being the culprit for loss of hi rpm. Engine runs smooth up to 3500 rpm and won't go any higher.
I disconnected the rectifier and wot pegs at 5800 rpm, runs smooth as silk without rectifier. I replaced the rectifier with a new one. Tested the new rectifier...
