I have a 1980 40 mercury, I can't get fuel out of the fuel pump, bulb pumps up hard but won't go through the pump, I've had the pump off and re built it, sprayed carb cleaner through everything and there doesn't seem to be blockages. Help
Looking at getting a 1980 2 cylinder 40 hp mercury. First off is there and reasonable priced parts to convert to tiller, and second I like the fact it's a 2 cyl with one carb, seems like less to go wrong. Anyone have input on the reliability of these?
I've got a bare bones 1852 flat bottom, looking at a brand new 20hp tohatsu, wondering if it will be enough. I'm going to puta basic floor and a couple benches with storage and that's it. I live on a small river and will just be hauling a couple people and a cooler to the sand bar and boat club...
