    Removal of lower unit

    I have a 1976 55hp johnson motor and trying to remove the lower unit i have it dropped but cant figure out how to disconnect the rod so i can remove the lower unit to change the water pump any help on disconnecting the rod so i can take the lower unit off would help thank you very much

    starting proplem

    I have a 1976 55 hp Johnson seahorse and i just bought a used johnson throttle control unit with key ignition that works. when i turn the key all i get is a click in the solenoid but the starter does not engauge. when i trip the solenoid it engauges the starter. I have never tried to start...

    Spark plugs

    I have a 1976 55 hp Johnson seahorse and i was woundering what kind of spark plug to use it says to use a champion l77j4. the motor has ac m44c in it and i can't find either pulgs any where. i would like to know what plugs would work on this motor and <br />what gap it needs. thank you
