    I have used regular pot guns and gravity fed guns over 1000 times for gelcoat. I use a 2.0 tip. Now what I did if the surface was on the floor I made the pot up with more patch aid then usual so the gel would be " more slicker" or runny when sprayed so I wouldnt have to sand it.     Gelcoat, with or without wax

    Om making a repair on a stake. I never used gelcoat with wax. Only shot straight from the barrel in the factory. And normal repairs were shot with patch aide added. Will it hurt if u dont use it and shoot the hull.
