    I ordered a shop manual from eBay today. I still think it's air/fuel related, but I'm just going to go through everything from spark to stator. I figure if I'm at 120 compression, good lower unit, and as clean as this motor is.... Might as well.

    They all look like they are firing the same. None looks more discolored or less discolored than the next.

    Here are the old plugs that I ran some after the seafoam. And the new current plugs for maybe the last four times I ran the motor.

    I know this is an old thread, but a thread like this shouldn't close, should it? . My 1967 18 foot Holiday had a 1984 Suzuki DT75 (2-stroke) 260# outboard, and it planed easily and maxed out about 33 mph with three 200# guys. With it and my 2010 Yamaha 9.9 4-stroke the drain holes at the bottom...

    I had it in a 55 gallon drum cut in half one of the runs. I'll use a drum this coming next time. I'll see how it sounds with my latest cleaning and post the video here. Probably Thursday afternoon/evening PST.

    Thanks, Yes, I had a Yamaha 80 when I was 8. Then a Suzuki RM80 until 1979, then a Husqvarna 250.

    I've got a DVA on order so I can verify all ignition parts. I just want to rule all out. I'll be doing another compression test tomorrow. I'm kind of approaching this like a service checkup. Just checking everything. May not be needed, but I'm also ordering new spark plug wires.

    I only replaced them a few days ago. I wanted to make sure all 'carbon' went on the old plugs. But yes, I'll check them again and upload a picture here tomorrow.

    Yes, but it only started running rough after the seafoam. But yes, I will get those parts on there.

    I think the seafoam dislodged something. This second cleaning I may have resolved it - hopefully. I won't be able put it back together and start it until tomorrow evening. . I'll video it for how it runs so you guys can hear and maybe better demonstrate the possible issue.

    Yeah, when I first went to look at it to buy it, it ran fine. The videos above are when I first got it home. It ran nice then too. Then I did a seafoam shock treatment, and then it started running rough. I'll try to get a video of how it runs poorly now.
