    Thank You, diverters are in good shape and installed. The first set of gaskets did have arrows on them. I had to replace two rods so I had to remove them.     I am rebuilding my engine and the head gaskets say top cover on both sides. Which way do the two slots go? Opposite of the water inlet tube same side or opposite the water tube other side?     Well I got good news from the machinist today. He cleaned it up at 20 over. So all holes will get 20 over pistons. A lot of worrying for nothing. I only paid $750 for the motor so I think I should make out OK. Thanks for all the reply's, Dan

    Difference between an Evinrude 88 and a 90 hp

    I have an E88TSLED, but it has power tilt and trim. I did not think that 88SPL came with tilt and trim. My manual shows 88 as manual. 90 has power tilt and trim.
