    Evinrude Manual

    I have a 1979 55hp Evinrude. I have heard that these are exactly the same as the Johnson's. Now my question is. There's this guy willing to sell me a Johnson OEM manual for a 1979 55hp Johnson. Are the manuals the same? The only reason I ask is that I can get this manual at a really good price.

    Oil in water vent.

    After I pulled the boat out of the water I noticed that there is a small amount of oil leaking from the water vent. I checked the gear oil and it is milky. When i unscrewed the plug there was some water that came out first. Does this indicate bad seals in the lower unit? The motor is a 1979 55hp...
