    Replace steering cable. Mine was hard too. Or as the other guy said maybe some moving steering parts need oiling. Good luck

    Bondo, this is an old 1983 lund. Just a simple rack and pinion steering cable.When u said it may be a helm issue can u elaborate? I'll add my boats trim is only adjustable manually at the back of boat. An engineer friend thought the steering issue is causing the trim issue.

    my 16ft lund steering is problematic. When steering to right or left while going fast the steering does not work. The wheel turns but the motor has not. I replaced the cable 3 years ago because the steering wheel was so hard to turn. Maybe I missed something while installing?? I can simulate...
