No Power: Four Winns Horizon 200

Found the issue! But not sure what it is. The little red button with a “60” written on it at the bottom right of the starter solenoid in this picture. The box is back to working but I’m worried about why this tripped in the first place. Any ideas? Or any idea what this breaker is for?

No Power: Four Winns Horizon 200

Thank you sir. I was suspecting that as well. However, my trim motor works, which is also fed by the battery switch. So that tells me my batteries and main switch are good. I’m thinking like you said a loose connecting but somewhere after the main battery shut off switch and before the dash?

No Power: Four Winns Horizon 200

Hi All, after a few hours of boating yesterday, I shut off my boat on the water. Sat for about an hour. Only to realize the whole boat was dead after trying to turn it back on. No power to any of my dash components. Ignition was dead but my bilge pump, depth finder, horn, and other accessories...

    Battery on I/O

So i have a 1996 Four Winns Horizon 200 with an I/O and dual battery set up. The batteries are inside under a cover that lifts up. However, the cover is not really sealed. It locks into place with two suction type rubber fittings. When the kids come in from the back of the boat dripping wet, the...

    Jacking Trailer

This is how the trailer is currently sitting. one wheel off with a Jack stand under the axle and I jacked the trailer from the connecting joint where the leaf springs connect. is this ok?

    Jacking Trailer

I tried jacking just one side today and the entire trailer started going up. The tongue was in the air and the other side was going up. What was I doing wrong?

    Jacking Trailer

Great question. I live in southeast PA where marine mechanics are booked 4-5 weeks out and automotive mechanics won’t touch anything boat or trailer related. Sucks

    Jacking Trailer

interesting! I’ve read to never Jack the axle because it can bend the axle and stress the leaf springs. Is any of that true? Because that’s how I’ve always jacked my cars and I’d prefer doing it that way. Quick question on the frame jacking - can I Jack from the rear horizontal frame piece...

    Jacking Trailer

Hi All, I have a 1996 Four Winns 200 horizon on the original Four Winns boat trailer. Boat is about 3700lb with motor. It's a tandem axle trailer. I need to jack the trailer (with boat on it) to take all 4 wheels to the shop for new tires. I'm wondering, are there any points on the trailer...

    New Tires

I’m being told by my shop that the radials have a lower weight rating. And the load range D radials are only 1250lb. The load range C bias-ply are 1760lb. What do you guys think? Is that true? If that’s true then I think I’m limited to bias play only? It doesn’t seem right because the tires on...

    New Tires

Thank you. What do you mean by “or run less pressure” ? It seems like the higher the weight rating, the more pressure the tire needs. Also, just to make sure my tire shop is giving me the right weight tire, what is the weight rating for a load range D? I can’t find a consistent set of answers...

    New Tires

You mentioned ST tires are junk. From what I understand, ST stands for Special Tire meaning it's meant for trailers/boat trailers. Are you saying that all boat trailer tires (ST) are junk and I should get a tire made for a truck instead? Is that possible/recommended? Edit: I've done some more...

    New Tires

thank you fellas. So it sounds like 1. I should go with Radial rather than Ply if possible? 2. The load range seems correct for my boat? 1750 at 50psi seems sufficient? thanks!

    New Tires

Hi All, I am in the market for a new tire on my tandem axle trailer, so I am figuring I'll buy 2. The previous owner had ST205/75R14s on there with a 1750 load at 50PSI. I am trying to not be blind and "just put on there what the last guy had on there." Are there any other considerations I...

Slight Leak Trim Cylinder - Father’s Day?

Oh wow. Ok. Thank you guys. I really thought the replies were going to be along the lines of “do you want us to tell you the truth or tell you want you want to hear?” Sounds great. Thanks for the help. On the off chance something does happen, my trim pump is mounted inside the engine capartment...

Slight Leak Trim Cylinder - Father’s Day?

Hi All, After my SX Cobra sat in winter storage for 9 months, I found the trim had dropped a few inches and the trim cylinders are leaking slightly. I powered up the trim motor and raised the engine back up. It raised without a problem. I have an appointment with my mechanic Monday 6/21. I...
