    Oh btw. Overheat light. Does it complete ground? This is a non generator engine. Should I connect power to one end of bulb then run ground to that after grounding starter lug to battery ?

    Thanks. I will replace the thermostat too. First old Johnson and seems like the last owner was a hack so I’m running thru the whole thing. (Found gaskets Poorly cut out of what looked like bicycle inner tube) Lol I re did the carb with the factory kit and cleaned and lubed everything on it...

    This was in a test barrel btw Idk if that would make a difference because of the intake setup.

    Do you recall how much of a stream came out of the cooling outlet on the 40? Mine didn’t seem to have much of a stream so I pulled the impeller. It’s worn but all the fins are there. Was installed in the correct direction and tube grommets seem fine. Getting a new impeller in the morning but...

    What type of cable am I looking for that would connect to this type of control? Should I just be looking for ones with an eylet on both ends to connect to the bolts on the gear selector and throttle? Does it connect the same inside the control box ?

    Hello everyone! Just picked up a motor for my whaler and I need controls and cables. I don’t want the used old side mount ones that you can find. What is the correct style of cables that directly fit this motor without having to rig it? Thanks!
