Pulled the drain screws for gearcase and no lube. Also had some residual “junk” on the magnet. See attached photo. Looks like I’ll be rebuilding the lower unit.
Recently acquired this motor with purchase of a boat. Motor has less than 20 hrs and sat for several years. Had to replace the shift cable that broke due to it being stuck in neutral. Will be dropping the lower unit to replace water pump and will also get new gear oil. Any advice on what could...
