    I’m looking at buying a 1985 sea ray 270 with a 454 and a tr drive. Reverse is no longer working. And everything I read says to upgrade. My question is, I have a 1989 bravo one outdrive and gimbal that was also mated to a 454. Would I be able to just swap them out? Or is it more work than that?

    I also have a 1989 maxum with a 454 mag, but it has a cracked block. So I should be able to use those manifolds risers and y-pipe. Will that be all that I need?

My question is I found a mercruiser 7.4 for a decent deal with low hours, am I able to swap in the 7.4 instead of the 5.7? I know for the year...
