    I read in another post you replied to, the guy had a 100hp Chrysler outboard with a possible sheared flywheel key. His wouldn’t start tho. Do you think this is possible for mine?

    I do get some retard when the gap closes. Not as much as I thot I would. Most I can get is one line right of 32* mark on sticker. It’s at 1/4” gap now and on 8 teeth left of TDC which is roughly 30* if I did the math right. TDC is set with screwdriver in top CYL and distributor pulley is lined...

    So after redoing “link and sync” and at full throttle I’m having trouble getting plug one to spark much less than 32*. The gap in the distributor block is 1/4” I would need more to get it to go more right.

    Ok I’ll try it. Do you know on the sticker what marks would be 28*-30*? As it only shows roughly 5 lines between 32*-TDC on the sticker. Also the tab is it just a reference point? Or does the notch mean something more? Thanks a million Nordin.

    I numbered the teeth 1-97 CCW just as a reference point, on that sticker if fires one line left of 32*. Where on the sticker do I want plug #1 to be firing?

    That link I just sent is identical to the flywheel/sticker I have. It’s one mark to the left of 32* How do I retard the timing more? Do I have enough block left to do so? It’s at 5/8” gap now, any more and it will be touching. Running no ethanol fuel @ 50:1 mix.

    My tab only has one line, it’s really a notch in the steel tab. All the timing makes are on the flywheel sticker. (I can’t send pics. Silver label with red writing on black backing) My TDC lines up with distributor pully. I have 97 teeth, #1 starts one to the right of TDC going counter...

    Setting TDC and distributor at “T” on pulley the #1 plug fires at one (1) tooth left of 32*. What degree am I set to/ firing at? This timing stuff is hard on the head! Thank you! 🙏

    When setting distributor…… and looking down at flywheel what is + and what is -? Is left going up degrees like say 34* and right is going down like say 28*? Also I read somewhere the tab is -4* ,is this a thing? Thanks.

    Quick question about float orientation….. which way does the float go in, brass tab up to carb or down to bowl? Parts diagram says down but the way carbs have been is up.
