Hi everyone, I'm installation the Airmar B175 in my boat. My boat has a core of balsa between the inner and outer layers of fiberglass. From the Airmar instruction, they say to drill the first hole of 95mm which I did. The transducer fits correctly in the hole. Now their instruction say to...

    Building livewell

Hi I would like to build a livewell from a mold. I'm having difficulty to figure how to attach the cover made from one mold to the fiberglass livewell made from another mold. From what i understand after the part made from the mold the tank would be painted in gelcoat. How to attach both part...

    Livewell and Interior design brainstorm

I have trim tabs in this boat that would help balance. Now I understand, keeping the fish in livewell would be not as good than just throwing it in cooler with ice. I guess I don't really need it then. Then I'm still wondering how should I design the interior. Should I just keep it simple, add...

    Livewell and Interior design brainstorm

Oh ok, so no livewell needed. Maybe I'm thinking too much here. I wanted to add the baitwell at the rear port side, but more I think of it more it feels complicated. I will mostly fish in lake since I'm far from ocean. But I still think a baitwell would be awesome if I need it at some point. I...

    Livewell and Interior design brainstorm

I would be sitting on the starboard side, I'm thinking that would help to. Are you thinking the listing will impact a lot the boat? My boat is a 20 feet. The difference let say would be around 140lbs between the livewell and the two battery.

    Livewell and Interior design brainstorm

I need to help to add a livewell in my boat. I added some picture. The boat is and i/o engine, so I can't add the livewell at the stern in the center. I was thinking to add the livewell at the stern port side where the power steering assembly is not located and add both battery on the starboard...

Where to pass the fuel filling hose and vent fuel hose?

Sir @76SeaRay, What ABS tube size did you used? Look like I am going to need a 3" hole since 2.5" abs tube dosen't exist. 3" seems a little big

Thank you very much sir, I will do the same as you. Shorter hose, no dip in hose and accessible for further maintenance.

Where to pass the fuel filling hose and vent fuel hose?

Ok seems to be a good idea. I think I won't really have choice doing that, other option might cause dip in the fuel line. Did you put foam under your floor? If yes, you were not concerned that the foam could expand and break the ABS pipe?

Where to pass the fuel filling hose and vent fuel hose?

Finally I have check my fuel pickup and I don't think I could modify it without cutting it out and welding it back to the tank. I don't know how to weld so I would like to avoid that.

Where to pass the fuel filling hose and vent fuel hose?

Ooh thank you for the explanation that is very well explained. Can I just use normal fuel hose and put it directly in the tank or it needs to be some sort of metal tube?

Where to pass the fuel filling hose and vent fuel hose?

Right the fill and vent are at the bow of the boat right now. This seem to be a good idea, I wasn't sure if it would be bad for the fuel line to be at the front. "If you install a length of fuel line on the inside end of the fuel pickup, with a 90* bend, so that the rubber line points...

Where to pass the fuel filling hose and vent fuel hose?

This is what I was thinking. See black line in pictures, but line goes from the front of the fuel tank to the rear. Hole in the bulkhead, hose run in the bilge and goes to one side of the boat.
