    I am rebuilding complete is the OMC sterndrive with new bearings and seals. The prop shaft was bent out of around to .014. I read .004 was ok. So i have replaced as well.

    Hello everyone, first parts are complete of the repair. Engine is up and running. I just checked the alternator and it's not charging. What should the charge voltage be? Is it the same as a car 14.5 volts?

    So you have never removed one while the engine was in the boat on this model? I can reach the bolts by hand. You did make a comment about the three piece drive shaft on the OMC model. Doesn't the mercruiser 898 1979 have the same design three piece drive shaft as well? Does that have failure...

    Aw, give it back. I can find parts for it no problem. Is there anything else why you say give it back? If you mean repairing it myself is not a problem. I seen the seal problems from the boot. Is anything else you guys have on something i am missing?

    Hello All, Has anyone seen this boat before. If yes does anyone here have the wiring diagram and also know what the HP is for this engine. I have two cooling hoses missing on the bottom of the exhaust manifolds.
