    Tinkered with linkages and reverse control lever on the engine ,loosened the bolt that the lift arm pivots on to lift the gear lever into reverse .

    Thanks heaps man ,you are a total legend ,tinkered with it last night and it actually locked into reverse ,I,ll fire her up tomorrow and see if she,ll run in reverse or it's just the gear locking in with no reverse prop action ,probably have to put in a new dog clutch.

    G'day sea faring champions ,could anyone tell me if I can get the lower case off my Evinrude 115 HP without it going into reverse ,it will go into neutral but won't click into reverse no matter what I try and all the forum and YouTube instructions say to put the gear into reverse before removing...
